Cherry has been making and selling cheesecakes for over thirty years, beginning with selling her creations at the Florida State Senate, where she was working as a legislative aide. Before the week ended, she was getting calls from the Capital and the House. Cherry began spending all her time outside her day job baking, often well into the night, to have fresh cheesecakes for the new day.

Cherry moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1992 and started baking again. Her client list quickly grew to include NFL players and more. It was here that Cherry’s Cheesecakes & Delights: “Delectable Treats of the South” was officially born.

Cherry’s Cheesecakes & Delights has since been served in the famous Shark Bar Restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, wineries and breweries in northern Virginia and Napa Valley, country clubs in Jacksonville, Florida, Macy’s department stores in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Dillards departments stores, the Florida Black Caucus, Parks & Crump Law firm in Tallahassee, Florida, and the 2005 Super Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida.

Cherry also sold cheesecakes during her and her husband’s time in Trinidad & Tobago where her cheesecakes graced the shelves of a grocery store chain as well as a Tobago country club.

In 2023, Cherry opened her first brick & mortar storefront in Lafayette, Colorado and continues to provide delectable desserts to the surrounding community and beyond.
